If Jesus Came to Your House: A Poem

If Jesus came to your house today, Not in a blaze of heavenly ray, But as a weary traveler, thin and worn, His clothes threadbare, his spirit torn;

Would you offer him a seat by the fire, A cup of water, a heart's desire? Or would you glance and quickly turn away, Too busy, troubled, to pause and pray?

Would you see the Christ in his humble guise, The love in his deep, compassionate eyes? Or would you judge him by his tattered dress, And miss the chance for blessedness?

Would He Find a Welcome Mat?

This question, often pondered, deep and true, Reflects on how we treat each soul anew. For in the stranger, the poor, the downtrodden soul, Lies the reflection of a sacred whole.

What Would He See in Your Home?

Would he find peace, or strife, or bitter feud? Would kindness bloom, or be misunderstood? Would he find solace in your gentle heart, Or would he feel compelled to tear apart

The walls of judgment, the chains of hate, The selfish cravings that seal our fate? Would he find laughter, warmth, and loving grace, Or only shadows in this earthly place?

What Would He Think of Your Life?

Would he see a life lived in selfless deed? A life of service, a life that freed Others from suffering, from pain and fear, A life that showed his presence ever near?

Or would he see a life consumed with greed, A heart that's hardened, a soul unheeded? A life of comfort, at others' expense, A life devoid of true repentance?

If Jesus came to your house today, What would you show him along the way? Reflect upon it, both night and day, And let his presence guide your way.
